Dumpster Day Saturday, July 12 from 10:00 am to noon
We still need volunteers! If you can join us please email gretjen@gmail.com!This is the day we have all been waiting for when the folks at L&I deliver a huge dumpster to the garden for us to spend the morning gleefully filling it with garden debris! Remember to wear heavy shoes and bring your work gloves. Coffee, drinks and other snacks will be provided!

Check out the new fence and gate on Monastery. Our bee population has just doubled as Jane & Kevin decided to set up another hive and are releasing their bees today! Ed H. promises to open up his hive on Saturday so you can see how busy his bees have been. Looking forward to seeing all your gardening faces!

Please remember the harvest is every Wednesday before 6:30. Please leave any items to be donated or any notes for pick up on the picnic table and I’ll get it for the food cupboard. Our food cupboard is at the Worship Center Church at Eva near the Schuykill Enviornmental Center. They have had a 78 % increase in need since last year and are now feeding about 125 to 150 families a month. The produce and herbs is a welcome addition to the food baskets that are picked up every week. I will keep you posted periodically. Also, please remember that we will water and keep your garden nice while you are away for the donatiuon of food for the City Harvest for that week!.If you can’t be there after the garden has been started you need to let me know. Just let us know ahead of time so I can plan my time for this. Let’s beat last years donations of 700 lbs from our GardenRUN. Thanks for the community support of this worth
while cause. Carol

Hey gardeners,
Does anyone out there have a pick-up truck? I’m asking because in order to finish our patio for the picnic area we need to get more gravel. The gravel is in Germantown so the trip would not take a huge amount of time. A pick-up truck is needed.
Thanks,
Ginger
