Garden R.U.N (Roxborough United Neighbors) is a community garden founded in 1999 in the hilly Roxborough/Manayunk neighborhood of Philadelphia. There are nearly 30 gardeners, a fish pond, fruit orchard and bee hives. Garden R.U.N. is supported by the Central Roxborough Civic Association.
Since its creation by neighbors the garden has participated in the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society annual City Gardens competition. And since 2007, gardeners have grown and shared produce with area food cupboards as part of City Harvest.

Desperately looking for a garden plot! Waited all year and schuylkill valley disappointed me!
My friend And next door neighbor Carol Timlin used to garden there at Monastery Ave but we lost her last year to covid! Bought a lot of tools and stuff to get started but no use now! I will be 76 this year and have a younger friend to help me! Don’t know how many more years I can garden but my friend is much younger! Used to be a member of Rox civic and very active in community but health emergency in June 2012 curtailed all that but I have survived and want to garden again!
